Doosan Industrial Vehicle America Corp. (DIVAC) exhibited at ProMat, the largest material handling event in North America, for the first time March 23 – 26, 2015. This four day trade show was held at Chicago’s McCormick Place and drew record crowds of over 35,000. Exhibiting at ProMat provided DIVAC a significant opportunity to enhance Doosan’s brand visibility, promote new and existing products, generate leads and further solidify relationships with current dealers and customers. DIVAC was honored to have Doosan Vice President Jim Bemowski, Doosan Industrial Vehicle (DIV) Vice President Dr. Keunbae Park, and DIV executives and staff visit our booth and take part in other scheduled DIVAC events.
The DIVAC booth was filled with 11 new Doosan lift trucks, including the BC25S-5 Electric, the D70S-7, the D45S-7 and D25S-7 Pneumatic trucks, and the BR18SP-7 Reach truck. Doosan’s new G-2 engine, which replaces former outsourced engines, was showcased in the middle of the booth, creating lots of attention and conversation. Unique signage, custom posters and fun giveaways, like Doosan branded M&M candies and 3-D puzzles, attracted dealers, customers and others to the booth. Prominently displayed electronic screens continuously provided information on Doosan products. Private meeting areas were located near the back of the booth and on the upper mezzanine floor.
DIVAC held other events during these 4 days, with an invitation-only Dealer Appreciation Dinner on Tuesday, March 24 at The Mid-America Club in the Aon Center. An invitation-only Customer Appreciation Luncheon took place on Wednesday, March 25 at 16 Restaurant in the Trump International Hotel & Tower. Jim Bemowski, Dr. Park and Tony Jones, Vice-President/CEO of DIVAC addressed the guests at each event. At the Dealer Appreciation Dinner, Jerry Weidmann, President of Wisconsin Lift Truck Corporation, represented dealers by giving Harley-Davidson leather jackets to Jim Bemowski and Dr. Park. These signature gifts were specially chosen from the renowned American motorcycle company, which is headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Framed, Gilsang artwork was presented to dealers and customers attending both events. During the luncheon and dinner, each dealer and customer had the opportunity to take their picture with Doosan executive management. Dr. Park and Tony Jones expressed their gratitude for DIVAC staff support and hard work at the Staff Appreciation Breakfast, which was held on Wednesday morning, March 25, at the Embassy Room in the Fairmont Hotel. All events ended with a group photo.
On Wednesday morning, March 25, DIVAC sponsored a business seminar at ProMat, “Lifting Your Business with Doosan,” at McCormick Place. The seminar was hosted by Gary Chancellor, DIVAC Dealer Sales Manager. During this session, dealers and sales personnel were motivated by guest speaker Brian Blasko and they learned about the evolution of Doosan and how the aggressive expansion of our product line can help impact the growth of their business.
On Wednesday evening, March 25, guests filled The Rouge Room in the Fairmont Hotel for a DIVAC-sponsored reception. A great selection of hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, live jazz music, and an entertaining D-160 photo booth were the highlights of the evening. The room was meticulously decorated with Doosan truck images and the Doosan logo on vases, pillows, backdrops and bars.
With positive response from participants, DIVAC looks forward to returning to ProMat in 2017.
